How to Use Facebook: Learn #Facebook with Ideas from Twitter
Use Twitter to Discover the Best #Facebook Tips
Facebook began in 2004 as "The facebook". It was founded by Harvard University student Mark Zuckerberg. According to their press, the social network has over 300 million active users, and half of those log on to their accounts every day.
Maybe you joined because to connect with friends, new and old. Maybe you started a business page and hope to attract customers. Facebook has its own fans and critics, so it's worth looking into what's being said -- the best of both sides.
I use both Facebook and Twitter, for different reasons, and enjoy them both.I also use Facebook for both personal and business reasons. I first joined to stay in contact with fellow writers and reviewers from MyShelf, where I worked at the time. Then I found more writer friends and personal friends from high school and college. How fun to catch up with people you've lost contact with over the years!
Then I joined different groups that focused on marketing or business. I started making connections with people all over the world. Our connections often led to being hired for writing projects or joining an online friend for a joint project.
Of course, there's no wrong reason for being on these networks --- Unless you're planning on spamming people with your message without trying to make genuine contacts with others. But people do use them for different reasons. What about YOU?
What's your take on Facebook? Do you tweet about your Facebook posts? Are you using the network for business or personal reasons?
